As part of our efforts to streamline our internal operations, we are hiring a Purchasing & Logistics Manager to oversee all purchasing, procurement, inventory management, and logistics processes, ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimization, and high-quality service.
Based in Abidjan at our subsidiary in Côte d’Ivoire, the ideal Purchasing & Logistics Manager will be primarily responsible for defining, organizing, and optimizing the purchasing and logistics strategy to support the company’s operational activities, while ensuring resource availability, cost control, and the reliability of supply chains.
Responsibilities of the Purchasing and Logistics Manager:
Achats & gestion des fournisseurs
- Define and implement the company’s purchasing policy (goods, services, equipment).
- Identify, select and negotiate with suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor supplier contracts, commercial terms and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor suppliers and suggest more efficient or economical alternatives.
Gestion des stocks & approvisionnements
- Organize and supervise inventory management (IT materials, supplies, equipment, consumables).
- Anticipate needs in conjunction with internal teams and ongoing projects.
- Set up tools to monitor and control stock levels.
- Reduce out-of-stocks, losses and overstocks.
Logistique & coordination opérationnelle
- Manage internal and external logistics flows (deliveries, transport, errands, inter-site transfers).
- Coordinate logistics providers and internal agents (courier, general services).
- Oversee the logistics of internal events, training courses and field deployments.
- Guarantee compliance with deadlines, quality and procedures.
Suivi budgétaire & optimisation des coûts
- Draw up and monitor the purchasing and logistics budget.
- Monitor expenses, analyze discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
- Set up performance indicators (costs, lead times, supplier quality).
Process & amélioration continue
- Structure and formalize purchasing and logistics procedures.
- Improve processes for greater efficiency, traceability and reliability.
- Collaborate with finance, administration and HR for seamless cross-functional management.
Qualifications
- Training: Bac+4/5 in logistics, purchasing, supply chain, management or equivalent.
- Experience: 4 to 7 years’ experience in a similar position, ideally in a multi-site or growing environment.
- Key skills :
- Mastery of purchasing processes, supplier negotiation and logistics management.
- Good budget analysis and cost tracking skills.
- Comfortable with management tools, ERP or advanced spreadsheets.
- Personal qualities: Organization, rigor, sense of anticipation, operational leadership.
- Soft skills: ability to manage priorities, negotiate, work cross-functionally.
- Languages: Fluent French, professional English appreciated.
