The ideal Head of Strategy & Business Development, Anglophone Africa is a strategic, execution-focused leader who will lead our entire go-to-market function – Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success – and scale RightCom to market leader in the territory.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and drive our GTM strategy across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
- Build and manage a high-performing GTM team from the ground up.
- Define and operationalize sales playbooks and CRM workflows.
- Align marketing campaigns with sales objectives to drive qualified inbound leads.
- Strengthen customer relationships – from onboarding to expansion – to drive net revenue retention.
- Partner with the CEO and product team to align GTM efforts with roadmap and customer feedback.
- Own and forecast key metrics across sales, marketing, and customer success.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years leading GTM functions (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success), ideally in B2B SaaS.
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a strong focus on selling (SaaS) software solutions to large accounts.
- Deep knowledge of business operations, workflows, and decision-making processes in Anglophone Africa.
- Track record of driving significant revenue growth across the full customer lifecycle: lead gen, new sales, onboarding, expansion, and retention.
- Proven ability to build and scale repeatable, data-driven sales and marketing systems.
- Strong customer success instincts, with a demonstrated ability to retain and grow accounts through deep relationships.
- Combines a strategic mindset with hands-on execution, taking ownership from planning to direct implementation.
- Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions in a simple, value-driven manner.
- Confident, clear communicator and leader who brings structure and energy to a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Ability to build scalable processes, playbooks, and reporting frameworks from the ground up.
- Proven ability to build trust in executive relationships and effectively communicate across teams.
- Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions and optimize business development strategies.
- Ability to travel periodically – 50% max.
- Bonus: experience in Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa.
